Schist Flake Garage Floor In Bel Air

We coated a 1,200 square foot garage in Bel Air over two full days, diamond grinding off the old coating and laying a polyaspartic floor with a broadcast of Schist flakes and a polyaspartic sealer on top.

Taking Up an Old Garage Coating in Bel Air

This garage floor already carried an old coating. A new system can only grip as well as whatever sits beneath it, so the existing layer had to be taken off before anything new went down.

We diamond ground the slab back to clean, open concrete, then applied a polyaspartic base coat and broadcast Schist flakes into it. A polyaspartic sealer went over the flakes to lock them in place, and the complete system across 1,200 square feet took two days.

A Light, Speckled Schist Flake Finish

The Schist blend gives the floor a light, finely speckled look that keeps both bays bright, and the sealer leaves a glossy surface that picks up the wall lighting.

The flake texture helps hide dust and tire marks, while the polyaspartic sealer wipes clean easily and stands up to parked cars and everyday foot traffic.

Planning a Large Garage Floor?

The bigger the garage, the more slab there is to prepare, so the existing surface and the square footage together set the schedule. Share both with us and we will map out the work and help you pick a flake blend that suits the space.
