We coated a 1,000 square foot garage in Yucaipa, back room included, with a polyaspartic flake system over two days: a base coat, a full broadcast of Gravel flakes and a polyaspartic sealer, with the stem walls finished to match.

This is a big, open garage with a high ceiling, a roll-up door and a back room, about 1,000 square feet in all. We coated the whole space, from the door opening right through to the back room.
Once the concrete was prepared, we laid a polyaspartic base coat and broadcast Gravel flakes over it until the floor was fully covered, then sealed it with a polyaspartic topcoat. We also coated the stem walls in the same flake finish, about three feet up along the long wall and around the back room, which protects them from knocks and makes them as easy to wipe down as the floor. The job took two days.

The finished floor has a high-gloss shine, with the Gravel flake blend of gray, black and white chips running right through it. Because the stem walls are in the same finish, the floor and lower walls read as one continuous surface.
The polyaspartic sealer gives a hard, glossy surface that stands up to vehicles, tools and everyday use, while the flake adds grip underfoot and helps hide dust between cleans.
